All you could ever want to know about Victorian London.

This great website by Lee Jackson is one of my favourites. He has researched thousands of contemporary sources which vividly describe life in Victorian London.

Henry Mayhew’s visit to a slum area in Bermondsey vividly describes the  horrific conditions the poor people lived in.
