John Field- 2 nocturnes on an 1823 Broadwood Fortepiano

Bart van Oort plays these beautiful pieces which were composed by the Irish composer John Field. I expect many people haven’t heard of John Field which is a shame! These nocturnes are so melodious and relaxing to listen to. I really love them. The Broadwood piano sounds stunning as well! The one in A major has a really gorgeous dramatic turn in it later on in the piece! Hear those bass notes sing in the way only a fortepiano can!!
