I’ve been on rather an interesting journey with my artwork over the past 4 years. I have a store on Etsy called Curious Journey, hence the name of this page:
Below is a gallery of some of my work. Some of these pieces are available in my Etsy shop.
The Pump Organ and fireplace have been made out of cardboard boxes , covered with various old book pages and sheet music.
Victorian spirit medium roombox.
An electric tea light placed behind Miss Tandy lights up the box.
A little cottage made out of cardboard boxes and covered with vintage book pages.
The back of the cottage. The slot allows it to be hung on a wall.
A little bird made from vintage sheet music.
The back of the shadow box.
The Martian Queen comes to earth. She has a plate of pink blancmange- her favourite food!
On the left I made old letters with a woman’s portrait. On the right is a ghost made out of tissue paper.
Aged rag papers, vintage Gothic novel text pieces and a 19th century photo add authenticity to this piece.
A window of an old house and an old door add some atmosphere.
18th century inspired roombox.
Vintage book texts and craft cut outs add to the theme.
Sparkly beads and bird charms with a chandelier craft piece add some pretty details.
A nostalgic shadow box.

I used the cover of a vintage paperback novel for the background in the Gothic roombox.
The home of a creepy Victorian doctor, Dr. Valentine.
Miniature house of Dr. Valentine- the back view.
Bottles of medicines and samples.
An assemblage in a wooden box. I have an interest in creepy Victorian doctors so I made this. Dr.Valentine is a character of mine. He is in one of my poems in my poetry page.
Kidney stones and an ad the front of his cabinet.
Close up of some of his “medicines” and samples.
One of the compartments with his bottles of quack medicine.
If you have a rash Dr. Valentine will make you up one of his mercury ungents!
I made this friar/monk out of vintage book pages, and painted him with acrylic paints. He’s glued onto a piece of wood that was also covered with book pages. The scene is a ruined old priory and he is a ghost haunting it.
The Muse: paper figurine glued into a heart shaped tin. Inspired by the idea of classical composers/musicians and the Muse who helps them bring their music to life.
Abstracts inspired by Holst’s Planets.
A roombox/miniature house. The ghost of a child haunts a ruined 18th century mansion.
I turned this tin into a piano.
Some pretty photo editing. I love photo effects.
